If you knew me in the 1990's, you would have seen me gain an incredible amount of weight from:
1991 (when I was 192) to
1998 (when, in this photo on the left, I was 258).
As I moved through 1998, I realized that the perhaps the 3 to 8 20 oz. Mountain Dews I was drinking daily wasn't terribly good for me. It was over 5000 calories a week, and no real nutrients (well, technically, Mountain Dew does have "orange juice" in it).
I made it a point on Labor Day of 1998 to stop drinking soda, and did successfully for 2 years, and made other minimal lifestyle changes that helped lose some weight, but like most, gained it back by 2002.
It wasn't until the end of 2011 when I really got it. Willpower can only go so far, I needed WHYpower (connecting my lifestyle to a bigger purpose). This WHYpower applies to how I approach business today, too!
Here's all of the resources I recommend for getting started (and why):
My 1 Page Productivity Planner - Extremely helpful for me in assuring Project #1 was "Life", a typical day would be "Run 20 to 30 minutes", "Lift weights for 10 to 20 minutes", "Prepare shake", "Have healthy snacks available". (Special thanks to Brendon Burchard for the inspiration and template for this!)
The Compound Effect - Mindset programming of creating success over time, don't expect anything right away.
Here's other resources for truly using "best practice" to improve your life, business or Internet presence:
WebStarterKit - My very own course on how to build a website that truly creates, builds, and maintains relationships.
10 Steps to Online Success - How to assure you're doing the top 10 things to attract the people you're truly looking to attract, while building your rank in Google (SEO), etc.
The Total Internet Marketing Blueprint - The 9 things you must have in play (with a continuity strategy) and the 9 ways to amplify them to connect with the customers you're truly looking to attract, while adding value to their lives (helping them improve their life, or grow their business, or BOTH!)
If you have any questions, be sure to let me know! Take care, Charly
